From its inception in 1989, Triumph Books has built and sustained a solid reputation for quality and innovation in sports publishing. Noted sports figures who have chosen to publish their books with Triumph include Whitey Ford, Brett Favre, Mario Lemieux, Ernie Harwell, Brian Billick, and many others, helping to make the Triumph name the trusted leader in sports publishing.

In addition to working with some of the most celebrated coaches and athletes in the world, Triumph Books, as "Publisher for the Leagues," has also published oral and team histories, pictorials, and rule books for every major sports league over the years, including the NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball, NHL, NCAA, USGA, USTA, the PGA Tour, and the U.S. Soccer Federation.

In 2000, Triumph Books launched Triumph Entertainment, a new imprint that specializes in pop culture and current events. Triumph Entertainment has published dozens of titles on the most popular musical singers, anime, special anniversaries, and general entertainment from Britney Spears to the Osbournes.

Triumph Books' dedicated sales and editorial staffs also allow the company to publish "instant" titles (books written, designed, printed, and on store shelves often within a week of the event) with the accuracy, timeliness, and style few publishers can match. Over the years, Triumph Books has published such titles on many professional and collegiate champions.

In April, 2001, Triumph Books' Dale Earnhardt: Remembering the Intimidator hit No. 1 on the New York Times best-seller list for paperback nonfiction and remained on the list for 13 weeks.

Located in the historic Printer's Row district of Chicago's South Loop, Triumph Books handles all of its sales and distribution in-house. The aggressive sales staff at Triumph is able to place titles in every marketplace nationwide from the largest mass merchants and warehouse clubs to the most intimate independent bookshops.
